I Confess My Love For K-Pop
Through my love of anime, I've come to love J-Pop from Ai Maeda to Utada and everything in between. I've never ventured my musical tastes to Asian music outside of Japan until recently when I discovered the wonder that is Korean pop (aka K-pop or korn pops).
First group I got introduced to was SNSD aka Girls' Generation, more specifically their music video for the single "GEE". The bubble gum tune pretty much hooked me in from the start but the fact that the group is nine cute girls strong doesn't hurt, either. After tearing myself away that music video, the next one, "Genie", pulled me back in.
Next group to catch my eye was Wondergirls. Surprisingly enough, they've just made thier debut in the US and so far are making waves on the charts. Their signature song thus far is "Nobody" which features the girls in a sixties-esque atire:
Last on the list are a group I started listening to recently, the Brown Eyed girls. They've just re-imagined themselves and so far me likey. "Abracadabra" is most definitely magic in my eyes:
